What data we collect
We collect the data you provide to us directly when you request an appointment or contact us: first and last name, phone number, email address and, where applicable, the reason for your visit. In the course of providing medical care, we also collect health data (medical history, the dental patient medical record no. 043/e, dental chart, treatment plan), strictly to the extent necessary for providing dental services. The website may use cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation.
Purposes and legal basis of processing
We process your data in order to: (1) schedule and manage your visits to the clinic; (2) provide dental medical services, including creating and keeping the mandatory medical documentation; (3) communicate with you about your appointments and treatment; (4) fulfil legal reporting obligations toward health authorities. The legal basis is Law No. 133/2011 of the Republic of Moldova on the protection of personal data and, for health data, processing necessary for the purposes of preventive medicine, medical diagnosis and the provision of medical services, corresponding to Article 9(2)(h) of the GDPR, under the responsibility of medical staff bound by professional secrecy.
How long we keep your data
Medical documentation is kept for the period required by the legislation of the Republic of Moldova on medical record-keeping. Contact details used solely for appointments are kept for as long as you are a patient of the clinic and for a reasonable period afterwards, after which they are deleted or anonymized, except where the law requires a longer retention period.
Who we share your data with
To manage appointments we use the Altegio platform (alteg.io), which acts as a processor and processes booking data (name, phone number, date and time of the visit) strictly according to our instructions. Medical data may be disclosed to public health authorities only in the cases and within the limits provided by law (for example, official statistical reporting). We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your rights
In accordance with Law No. 133/2011, you have the right of access to your data, the right to rectification of inaccurate data, the right to erasure (within the limits allowed by the legal obligations to retain medical documentation), the right to restriction of processing, the right to object and the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova (CNPDCP).
